Hand Maiden Mini Maiden

This glorious hand-dyed single-ply yarn is a strand of wondrous luster. The wool-silk combination is one of our favorites—each fiber’s best traits enhance the other fiber for an enchanting blend. The wool fibers keep the silk from getting too slinky; the silk adds a sheen that spiffs up the wool’s matte finish. And together, the two fibers have both insulating and cooling properties. Hand Maiden yarns pair beautifully with Fleece Artist yarns—both companies (mother and daughter) dye yarn in beautiful Nova Scotia.

We love this yarn in simple patterns that really let it shine. Try it in a Bias Before & After Scarf or an Inside Outside Cowl (one generous skein is enough to make the larger size).
