The Design
“A half moon of brushed softness.”
In this airy scarf, the relaxing rhythm of stockinette stitch creates a simple fabric—the perfect canvas to play with degrees of sheerness. With long, tapered ends and a pretty, eyelet lace edge, this scarf’s shape lies somewhere between half moon and triangle. Started at the top edge, the knitting gets faster and faster as you go!
We chose Isager Soft Fine for a super soft Demi Lune Scarf. This light fingering-weight yarn has a core of silk upon which a blended strand of alpaca and yak is added as a loopy bouclé. Then, the strand is brushed to high fluffiness! With such a floaty halo, Soft Fine is a great alternative to mohair. And, wow, did we mention how soft it is?
