“Get to know a timeless favorite!”
As familiar to crocheters as garter stitch is to knitters, the granny square is homey, adorable, and timeless. You can find it in everything from garments and accessories to home decor! It’s an iconic part of the crocheter’s toolbox—it just keeps coming back! Join teacher Kit Hutchin and assistant Nikki in getting to know this nostalgic favorite.
You’ll learn: The basics of the classic granny square motif, from beginning to end (whether you’re crocheting one big granny square or stitching smaller squares together). We’ll look at fun ideas for projects—even a half-granny triangle scarf!
Prerequisites: For this class, it’s best if you’re confident in single crochet, double crochet, and chain stitch.
Please bring: A size US I (5.5 mm) crochet hook. Practice yarn will be provided.
Maximum: 6 students. $96 registration fee (includes two one-and-a-half hour sessions).
