Our Basic Beanie in a chunky wool will be on your head in—if not a few hours—a few nights of knitting! It’s a free pattern, so all you need to do is pick a color and then decide what sort of brim you’d like—a casual, rolled edge? Or maybe a short band of ribbing? Up to you!

We knit this Basic Beanie in Quarry—a chunky-weight, 100% American wool from Brooklyn Tweed. Inspired by roving-style yarns, Quarry is light and lofty, but has a little more strength and stitch definition. And it softens nicely after hand-washing!

US 10 (6mm) 16″ circular & double-point needles, or size to obtain gauge.
US 9 (5.5mm) 16″ circular, or one size smaller than gauge needle.
