Woolen spun from American Columbia fleeces, Tones is a proud sibling to Brooklyn Tweed Shelter and Loft. Its round, springy 3-ply construction provides fantastic stitch definition in textured and cabled knits, and its loftiness means your fabric will be nice and cozy!

But it’s Brooklyn Tweed’s creative approach to color that makes Tones extra special. Starting with a light and a dark heathered base yarn, they use traditional overdye techniques to pair up tonal shades. The ‘Overtone’ is a light, bright version of the hue, while the ‘Undertone’ is a deeper, more subdued variation. It’s so much fun (and so satisfying!) to mix and match Overtones and Undertones in colorwork and stripes. We hope you have as much fun playing around with the near infinite combinations as we have!
